The Art of Craft, Which Is Our Language.
ARTEFICRAFT is a curated multi-disciplinary art and design concept store — a meeting point between China’s living craft traditions and the contemporary designers reinterpreting them for the world.
We are drawn to objects that carry history in their making: pieces rooted in China’s intangible cultural heritage, classical aesthetics, and time-honoured techniques — lacquerware, silversmithing, Jingdezhen ceramics, hand-painted porcelain, and beyond. Some of what we carry is entirely handmade by the artist. Other pieces are designed by recognised Chinese designers and produced in small runs at specialist workshops — where craft knowledge and manufacturing precision meet.
What unites every piece in our collection is intention: someone thought deeply about what this object should be, and why it should exist.
A Space for Art, Not Just a Store
Our home in Wuhan is an 800 sqm white-cube gallery space where commerce and culture sit side by side.
Throughout the year, we collaborate with artists and designers to present exhibitions, host hands-on craft workshops — where visitors can learn traditional techniques directly from the makers — and build a programme of events that brings art into everyday life.
We believe that the distance between art and daily living should be as small as possible.
Investing in the Next Generation
Each year, ARTEFICRAFT allocates a portion of its revenue to two initiatives:
The Artist Encouragement Fund — supporting independent artists and craftspeople at critical moments in their practice, so that financial pressure never becomes a reason to stop making.
The Student Arts Scholarship — awarded periodically to outstanding students at university art and design programmes across China, in recognition of exceptional creative work and commitment to craft.
We see these not as charity, but as responsibility — and as an investment in the future of the traditions we love.
What We Carry
Our collection spans original artworks and limited-edition prints; designer jewellery in silver, resin, and gemstone; sculptural art objects and home pieces; handmade ceramics for daily use and display; liuli (Chinese art glass) objects; home fragrance; and artist-edition lifestyle goods.
Each piece is selected for its quality, its cultural rootedness, and its ability to bring something genuinely rare into everyday life.
Where We Are
ARTEFICRAFT is operated by 藝匠雅集, a Hong Kong-registered company. Our gallery and operations are based in Wuhan, China. All orders ship from China. We offer free worldwide shipping on orders over $200.
