Goddess of Marriage Hand-Painted Ceramic Panel

A crowned, winged figure takes center stage in this hand-painted ceramic panel. Fine pale lines emerge from a dark ground, tracing layered feathers, flowing fabric and an intricate headdress. About the Maker

Zhushi is a ceramic studio based in Jingdezhen, China. Its pieces are made and painted by hand, bringing together ceramic form and individually worked imagery. Small differences in brushwork, surface texture and glaze are part of the making process and give each piece its own character.
