Kunpeng Blue & White Porcelain Tea Set — Hand-Painted Gaiwan, Tea Tray & Cup

Kunpeng — A Symbol of Boundless Ascent

Inspired by the Kunpeng (鲲鹏), a legendary creature in classical Chinese literature associated with immense scale, transformation, and an extraordinary journey toward the open sky, this tea set translates an ancient image of ambition and expansive possibility into hand-painted blue-and-white porcelain.

Across the porcelain, the Kunpeng moves through sweeping waves and clouds in flowing cobalt-blue lines. The composition feels energetic yet composed — a visual expression traditionally associated with rising momentum, broad horizons, prosperity, and the aspiration to move ever upward.

Made in Jingdezhen by Zhuyuzhai (竹玉窑), a family workshop with three generations involved in porcelain making, the decoration is drawn by hand rather than mechanically printed. Subtle variations in line, brushwork and firing are therefore part of the character of each piece.

The set brings together three coordinated pieces:

Gaiwan — a traditional lidded vessel for brewing and serving tea
Tea Tray / Presentation Plate — featuring the central Kunpeng composition
Tea Cup — continuing the blue-and-white motif across the set

Presented together, the three pieces form a complete composition while remaining functional as individual objects. The generous central plate gives the Kunpeng motif space to unfold, while the smaller vessels repeat details from the same visual language.

The set is presented in a gift box and accompanied by a certificate, making it suitable both for personal tea rituals and as a meaningful gift for milestones, new ventures, professional achievements, or new beginnings.
