Quiet Joy Green Ceramic Vase with Floral Relief

Quiet Joy is a small vase with a gentle presence. Its fresh green glaze, slender proportions and delicate floral relief bring a moment of calm to a desk, bedside table or shelf. The name interprets Qinghuan (清欢), the quiet pleasure found in simple, unhurried moments.

Designed to Live Among Everyday Things

The maker carefully balances the scale of the vase with the spacing of its raised decoration. Its compact silhouette sits comfortably among books, small objects and the changing colors of a tabletop arrangement. A few dried stems create a light composition; displayed alone, the vase offers its own small pattern of flowers.

Floral Relief & Begonia-Inspired Form

The green glaze follows a surface of raised floral motifs, with smaller ornamental details arranged between them. Hand-worked carving gives the relief its fine texture, inviting a closer look at the small contours and spaces across the body.

Both the opening and the body follow a softly lobed, begonia-inspired outline. This shaped profile carries the floral idea through the whole object, giving the narrow vase a gentle rhythm beyond its surface decoration.

In the maker’s description, the form carries a wish for peace and for things to go well. It is a poetic sentiment expressed through the design.

About the Maker

For Goodness (一百朵花) was born in Jingdezhen, a Chinese city with a long tradition of porcelain making. The brand approaches this heritage through a contemporary eye, creating objects for the way we live today.

Rooted in clay and shaped by fire, its work brings artistic expression into everyday surroundings. The name 一百朵花 means “a hundred flowers,” reflecting a sensibility that finds beauty in small things: a considered form, an expressive surface, a familiar corner made a little more inviting.
